I have been overly busy lately and it's been tough trying to find time to do artwork. In fact I am tired of saying "I am SO busy!" when people ask me how I am doing. I am not saying that anymore, even if I am swamped. It will help calm things down. To me, there is such thing as negative reinforcement, and if I stop repeating the same thing, it will feel different.
I took a little time last Friday, in town, and just enjoyed doing what I like best. Truly, I would love to simply be able to spend my days with my journal, my watercolors, and my pens, and go about recording what's around me. I used to have the time do so eons ago. Now it's more of a challenge. I just have to prioritize but my graphic design work remains the priority, thus sketching comes after.
I remain thankful that I am able to pause here and there, and take advantage of those moments.
